Prairie River

All monies received from the sale of this book will be deposited in a special fund by the Society of Grassland Naturalists, for production of other publications on the natural history of southeastern Alberta.

Prairie River is an introduction to the waters and wildlife of the South Saskatchewan River from Grand Forks in Alberta to Estuary, Saskatchewan.

Intended principally for those travelling by canoe or kayak; it contains information relevant to the logistics of such travel. However, its main purpose is to provide a sense of the natural history of the river and of the land through which it flows.
